Information We Collect

MoneyWise collects the information required to provide core platform features. This may include profile and account details, household setup information, connected financial account details, balances, transaction history, and limited technical or support information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

We use this information to provide dashboards, account visibility, trends, budgeting support, financial insights, household planning features, troubleshooting, and service communications. We only use connected account data where it is reasonably necessary to deliver the features the user has chosen to use.

Connected Account Data and Akahu

When you choose to connect eligible financial accounts, MoneyWise uses Akahu to access account information you have authorised us to receive. This may include account identity details, balances, and transaction data. We use this data to power account summaries, spending analysis, and other financial visibility features inside MoneyWise.

Retention, Revocation, and Deletion

MoneyWise retains personal and connected account data only for as long as it is reasonably required to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain necessary records. If you revoke access to a connected account or delete your MoneyWise account, we will revoke relevant access and delete Akahu-sourced data that is no longer reasonably required.

Security and Your Controls

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect personal information and connected financial data. Users can manage connected account access through MoneyWise settings, disconnect eligible data connections, and contact us regarding privacy, correction, or deletion requests.
